The New "Sidewinder" Featuring the Pro-Cruiser and Pro-Cruiser Plus models

Sidewinder Features

Pro-Cruiser: $2,295
A performance machine with a 3-piece Shimano RX 100 crank set (30-42-52 tooth rings) or equivalent, Grip shifters and derailleurs, 20" spoke wheels, double-wall alloy rims, quick-release wheels, dual mechanical disk brakes, easy adjustment seat for leg length and adjustable recline, dual steering, chromoly fork, completely foldable with store-on-end feature.

Pro-Cruiser Plus: $2,495
The Plus model adds Hayes dual hydraulic disk brakes with stainless disks. The increased grabbing power of the hydraulic disks maintains an effective steer-by-brake capability while increasing high speed steering stability with near silent performance. The drive features Shimano components, and Grip shifters, or equivalent.

Transportable:
The Pro-Cruiser and Pro Cruiser Plus fold to fit in many car trunks. They also may be transported on most bicycle carriers. The folding feature also affords storage in a space 32" x 32" x 44", less than most conventional bicycles. No tools are required to fold. Quick releases are on all wheels, the front folding tube, and the steering handles.

Patented Differential Drive/Brake Steering:
The Sidewinders unique side-to-side brake steering, in combination with the differential, makes for unparalleled maneuverability. Using the brake steering mode, the Sidewinder can turn 180 degrees in its own length. This is handy for tight locations or just the thrill of spinning. The Pro-Cruiser Plus is equipped with Hayes hydraulic disk brakes.

Seat Recline Adjustment:
The high back of the Sidewinder seat may be adjusted to suit the rider. It can be changed at a moment's notice by pulling the quick pin and changing it to a new location. This feature also makes it easy to remove the seat for transport or storage.

Length Adjustment:
The Sidewinder leg length adjustment has 6" of travel. This feature, in combination with the recline adjustment, allows riders to achieve maximum comfort. The vinyl coated polyester mesh seat fabric is cool and strong. The adjustable lumbar support also makes for a comfortable ride.

Positive Steering Control:
The steering system is comprised of a bell-crank and steel control rod system. The steel rods are enclosed in side guides, welded to the frame for protection and positive control in the cruising mode of steering. A cable pin system releases the rear wheel, so that it can caster for the brake steering mode.

Brake Steering Control:
Dual Steering allows for switching between positive steering control and brake steering control. The patented Differential Brake Steering allows the Sidewinder to turn in its own length, much like a bulldozer, for unique maneuverability.

Carry Bag:
Also available is an optional 20"x20" carry bag, that features an inside Velcro closed pocket for small articles and fits between the frame behind the seat. This sling type bag carries a "big pay load" and is great for day trips or quick trips to the market. Made of the same strong material as the seat, it will give lots of service.
